Grass is in the foreground, ending at a stone wall with an opening through which the 4th NH Turnpike is visible. The Shaker Bridge extends across the narrow part of Mascoma Lake with some buildings visible on the far side in the distance. The card has rounded corners and orange paper on the front. The images have the high arch on the top edge, and are rounded on the bottom corners as well. The images are 2-7/8" wide. At the left side of card, near the bottom is a stamp "1947" On the lower margin at the right is written in pen "Shaker Bridge 1849" The back of the card is a beige color. On one end is written in black ink "Shaker Bridge / Enfield / NH." Along one long side in a different hand is written in blue ink "This picture is the property of / Geo. U.L.
