Description |
Cabinet card photograph of Mary Darling and Grace Holbrook in front of the Infirmary. The two Enfield sisters are standing on the stone walkway in front of the Infirmary. To Mary Darling's right is a large planter with flowers. There is a trellis surrounding the front door and window, and tall flowers (possibly hollyhocks) in front of the building beyond Grace Holbrook's left shoulder. Two first floor windows appear to have screens on the lower half. The back has writing in several hands. At top in pencil by donor: "Given to me by Scott Dewolfe 8/1999". Below that in ink: "Taken by a member of the /Soo Nipi Park party./ Please pardon delay in sending". Then another line in ink which has been redacted in black ink and 3 stickers. Below that in pencil: Mary Darling/Grace Holbrook./Nurses, at Shakers--" To the left of the word Nurses, in pencil: "Nov. 6 1903." |
