Description |
The photographer is on the west side of the Fourth NH Turnpike, south of the Shaker Bridge, looking south down the road. Maples line each side of the dirt road. Mascoma Lake is beyond the trees, quite close to the road at the location of the photo. On the right side of the road are telephone poles with two cross arms and 12 insulators. There does not appear to be any power lines. Written on the back in black pen in Robert Leavitt's handwriting is "Rt 4A / North of Shakers / 1920's C. Babbitt", and there is remains of black paper and adhesive at the top. |
