Description |
Stereoview card. The photographer is standing along the Fourth New Hampshire Turnpike north of the Shaker Bridge, looking southeast across Mascoma Lake toward the Shaker Bridge. In the forground is the road and grassy shoulder. The road appears quite close to the shore and well above the lake level. Some trees extend up between the road and lake. The Shaker Bridge is visible in the distance with Shaker Hill beyond. The card has rounded corners and orange paper on the front, printed on the left "C. E. Lewis," and on the right "Lebanon, N. H." The images have the high arch on the top edge, and are rounded on the bottom corners as well. The images are 2-7/8" wide. There are a series of vertical dashes printed down the middle of the card to assist in aligning the images. At the lower right corner is printed " No. ......." At the lower left in pen is "Shaker Pond." The back is printed with a geometric pattern of 3-d cubes in red ink. |
