Description |
Poplarware pincushion. Poplarware cloth is a repeating pattern of 6 strands of poplar and 4 strands of straw. The poplar cloth is neatly trimmed in kid leather and the two ends are secured with a red ribbon tied in a bow with one loop. The top fabric is dark red velvet, divided into 8 segments with thread. A small and tightly stitched "spiderweb" design is stitched in the center where the threads converge. The bottom is boxboard and covered with white paper that has a shiny surface. |
