Description |
Chart recording the burials in the Enfield Church Family cemetery. The burials are laid out in a regular grid and are not to scale. Data for each burial includes name, date of death, age at death, and Shaker family - some vary. The chart is drawn in ink on the back of a Goodyear tire advertisement. The chart is titled "Cemetery Chart-Plan for the Society of Shakers at Enfield N.H. 1793-1928." The dates in the title reference the first and last burial dates. There is a number in red pencil near the upper right hand corner of each entry, numbered consecutively, of unknown date of addition. The creator and date of creation of this chart is unknown. The four entries at the bottom right of the chart are in a different hand from the rest of the chart. The chart contains information that was available on the stones, but additional information as well. The source of the compiled information is not known. |
