Description |
Octagonal poplarware sewing kit. Poplarware cloth is a repeating pattern of 6 strands of poplar and 4 strands of straw. Box is trimmed in kid leather, except the top edge of the sides, which is trimmed with the interior silk fabric. The shoe button on the front is mother of pearl (or imitation) and is secured with a circular cotter. The interior silk fabric has a rose pattern in it and is a gray-green color. The ribbons match the interior fabric color. Inside the work box are a pincushion, needle book with fabric cover lined with kid leather, beeswax, and strawberry emery. The bottom is wood covered with a patterned white wallpaper. |
