Description |
North Family Anodyne bottle with front and back labels and cork. Aqua glass bottle, rectangular in cross section with recessed panels on the two narrow sides, one reads "Shaker / Anodyne" and the opposite "Nth Enfield / ~ N.H.~" The bottom is smooth and slightly concave with no seam visible across it. Seam runs around perimeter of bottom, up opposite corners, over the shoulders, up the neck and ends very close to the applied finish. The rim is squared and thick. Both labels are in very good condition and are arched at the top to match the bottle contour and square at the bottom. The front label reads "Shaker / Anodyne." at the top, a description of its properties and uses, with dosage information at bottom. The back label lists physicians who recommend it, and refers (twice) to a circular that came with the bottle. (The circular is not present) |
