Description |
Red table with breadboard top. Wood is birch, with poplar secondary drawer parts. Top is secured with pocket screws and has breadboard ends. Slender legs are square at top, turned round below the skirt with no ring at the transition, and taper to the ground. Skirts are attached to the legs with pegged mortice and tenon joinery. Flush, inset drawer has half-blind dovetails at the front with through dovetails at the back. Unusual taper of drawer front at the dovetailed ends allows clearance for drawer travel. The drawer pull is brass. Original red paint. |
