Description |
Enfield side chair with cane seat. Back posts have an elongated pommel with single scribe mark as the widest point, shoulder at the base of the pommel, scribe marks above and below the back slat mortises. All 4 posts have single scribe marks locating the seat rails and stretchers. The back slats have graduated radii and are flat on bottom and rounded on the top edge towards the front. Seat rails tenons are nailed through the posts. Front seat rail has an old repair of a metal splint attached with 4 screws. Tilters are replacements. |
