Description |
Built-in from the Great Stone Dwelling, 8 drawers over two cupboards. A mortice and tenoned pine frame contains the 8 drawers. The drawers, also pine, have lipped fronts with molded edges, half-blind dovetails at front and through dovetails at the back. Drawer bottoms are a single piece of pine. Below the drawers is a pine box, with two cupboards. The proper right cupboard is lined in tin, has a hole in the side where a lead pipe would vent into the adjacent chimney, and would have housed a chamber pot. The 2 cupboard doors are stored with the built-in but not currently installed. |
