Description |
Step stool with three steps and "Cupid's bow" feet. The step stool is pine, with sides of one board with a "Cupid's bow" shaped scroll at the bottoms forming the feet. Stretchers supporting the front and back of the top step and the front's of the lower two steps are attached to the sides with through tenons (not pegged) There is an additional stretcher across the back near the bottom, also tenoned into the sides. The top step has an overhang on front and sides with a downward facing molded ogee. The lower two steps have no overhang or molded edge and are possibly damaged or replacements. The steps are steep with uneven rises and narrow 4-1/2" deep treads. There are faint hints of possibly yellow original paint. |
